Our objectives

Royal Eijkelkamp has set measurable reduction targets for Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, in accordance with the CO₂ Performance Ladder framework. The base year is 2024; the target year is 2027.

CO₂ reduction (Scope 1 & 2)

- 18%

Compared with the base year 2024, to be achieved by 2027

Energy reduction

- 5%

Total energy consumption in 2027 compared with the base year

Our approach

Royal Eijkelkamp operates in accordance with the principles of the Trias Energetica:

  1. Reducing energy consumption wherever possible
  2. Increasing the share of renewable energy
  3. Efficient use of fossil fuels

Specifically, the organisation focuses on reducing natural gas and electricity consumption in buildings, making its vehicle fleet more sustainable, purchasing renewable energy, and improving the monitoring of energy and emissions flows.

Royal Eijkelkamp is on track to meet its targets. Below is an overview of current activities and progress on key processes.

Implementation of an energy and CO₂ management system

Smart meters have been installed and are now operational. Energy and emissions data are continuously available via a real-time dashboard. This system will be further expanded in the coming period to provide greater insight.

Data Quality Management Plan

Manual data entry is being gradually replaced by automated data flows. Deviations are continuously monitored and reported to those responsible, thereby systematically improving data reliability.

Energy-saving and reduction measures

Preparation for specific projects within the framework of the Trias Energetica, including LED lighting, solar panels and energy-efficient business processes. Internal management systems are linked together to improve control.

Progress report version 1.0, 13 March 2026. Progress is monitored and evaluated annually. A full quantitative report on reductions achieved will follow once the full measurement year 2025 has been completed.
