The revision 2022 of ISO 22476-1 includes significant changes which govern the collection and application of CPT data. Chief among these changes is a completely overhauled set of requirements for laboratory calibration of CPT cones. This includes a comprehensive uncertainty budget and explicitly addresses temperature effects, bending influences, and sensor stability.
At Royal Eijkelkamp we designed and built a new calibration facility which is from the ground up engineered around the latest standard and equipped with cutting edge automation and QC capabilities.
We are now able to offer to the market calibrations to the latest standard including the brand new Class 0 Penetrometer Class, which offers a reduced uncertainty on even the highest class in the previous edition of the standard.
Paired with our new data acquisition software GeoExplorer 3, the first on the market that allows the user to capture zero readings compliant with the new standard, CPT users now have the access to truly compliant CPT hardware and software.
