The gouge auger set for top layers is used for sampling of the top layers of arable land, in particular for a nitrate- or fertilization research. This set is also suitable for medium hard and hard soils.
The auger for arable land, with an operational length of 9.8 inch (25 centimeters), is used to take samples from the furrow. The mineral auger, also included in the set, is used to take samples from the top layer up to a depth of 23.6 inch (60 centimeters.) This 1 kilo of tools solves most sampling jobs and is perfect to use for chemical sampling in the root zone.
Because of their operational length and small diameter, the included gouge augers are most suitable for sampling of the top layers of arable land, in particular for a nitrate- or fertilization research. Thanks to the slim auger bodies there is less friction from the soil.
