The percussion drilling set for heterogenous soils with RD32 and an electrical percussion hammer HM1812 is used for drilling to a depth up to 16.4 feet (5 meter). The set is equipped with extremely sturdy rods and gouges. The different diameters make efficient, fast, and light work possible.
With the percussion drilling set for heterogeneous soils with electrical percussion hammer (HM 1812), the percussion gouges are hammered into the soil using an electrically driven percussion hammer with 72.8 Joule strike capability, up to a depth of 16.4 feet (5 meter). Even in harder soils possibly containing layers of rubble and/or stones. This makes this set very suitable for use in city centers and industrial sites.
The advantage of the electric hammer is that no petrol fumes and exhaust gases come directly over the sample. With this set, you get nice clean samples without using lubricants. The percussion drilling set is not intended to replace diamond core cutting and is not suitable for fibrous material. Please note that porosity is needed (displacement technique), not for dry glacial loams.
RD32-connection
The Royal Eijkelkamp percussion drilling sets are equipped with RD32-connection extension rods and percussion gouges are screwed together using a coupling sleeve. The RD32-connection is used in firmer, dryer soils. The RD32-connection takes very little time to attach and take off. The RD32-rods connect together by means of a coupling sleeve, which means that the massive extension rods have the same diameter along the entire length, which makes them very strong.
