To obtain a reliable soil sample, it is of great importance to use the correct hand auger. Our experts have designed two types of connections (bayonet and conical screw thread), to make drilling to greater depths possible. The hand augers are made of high-quality non-toxic steel, which makes them extremely suitable for soil and environmental research.

Hand-forged of high-quality hardened steel by our professionals and made to last: that best describes the gouge augers developed by Royal Eijkelkamp. These instruments minimize the distortion of a sample, which makes them suitable for profile research and sampling. The gouge auger is available in various lengths and diameters, extendable and non-extendable.

A successful laboratory analysis starts in the field; it all depends on the quality of samples. It is important therefore to use the right equipment to take undisturbed, high-quality samples. Royal Eijkelkamp has developed a varied range of undisturbed core samplers to meet all needs both in the field and in the laboratory.

At Eijkelkamp North America we have various accessories for our augers. These accessories can be useful if, for example, you want to be able to drill deeper, if you want to drill in an ergonomically sound manner or if you need a different coupling for your auger.

Mapping large areas often requires many measurements. For this purpose, we have developed the Penetrologger; an electronic penetrometer with a built-in GPS and data logger, for accurately storing and processing many data. Optionally a soil moisture sensor can be connected in order to determine and save the soil moisture percentage (single-point measurement) of the measuring position.

Royal Eijkelkamp has created a wide range of sludge and sediment samplers. With these instruments it is possible to take samples from the bottom of canals, lakes, rivers, ditches, ports and near coasts. Various equipment for sediment related measurements (turbidity, water depth) is also included in our assortment.
